e-Visa Information

e-Visas are an efficient and straightforward way to secure your visa. Many countries offer e-Visas to streamline the process. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Eligibility: Check if your destination offers an e-Visa and if you’re eligible. e-Visas are generally available for short-term visits.
  2. Application Process: Apply online by completing the e-Visa application form, uploading required documents (such as a passport photo and travel itinerary), and paying the fee online.
  3. Processing Time: e-Visas are usually processed quickly, often within a few days. However, processing times can vary.
  4. Receiving Your e-Visa: Once approved, you’ll receive your e-Visa electronically. Print a copy or save a digital version to present at the border.
  5. Validity: e-Visas come with specific validity periods and stay durations. Ensure you comply with these to avoid complications.

Tips for a Successful Visa Application

  • Apply Early: Whether for a traditional visa or e-Visa, apply as early as possible to avoid last-minute issues.
  • Verify Documentation: Ensure all documents are accurate and complete.
  • Use Official Channels: Always apply through official government websites or trusted sources.

Singapore Tourist visa Requirements

  1. Original Passport
  • The applicant must submit the current and all previous original passport.
  • The current passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
  1. Photographs
  • Submit 3 recent passport-sized photos.
  • Photos must be taken within the last 3 months.
  • Size: 35mm x 45mm.
  • Background: White.
  • Clothing: Dark shade dress.
  • The photo should cover 80% of the face (from the chin to the top of the head).
  • No old or scanned photos will be accepted.
  • No spectacles in the photo.
  • No previous Singapore visa or other visa stamps in the passport.
  1. Visa Application Form – Attached
  • Fill out the Visa Application Form completely and accurately.
  • The applicant must sign the form – Paste the photograph on the form, ensuring that the signature crosses from the form to the photo (not on the face, below the neck).
  1. Authorization Form – Attached
  • Submit the Authorization Form, duly signed by the applicant.
  1. Covering Letter – Draft Attached
  • A Covering Letter must be submitted, mentioning the purpose of the trip and details of any accompanying travellers.
  • If the applicant is self-employed, the letter must be on the official company letterhead.
  1. Confirmed Air Ticket
  • Provide a confirmed air ticket.
  1. Hotel Confirmation
  • Provide proof of hotel booking according to the travel dates.
  1. Office ID (If employed)
  • If employed, submit a copy of the office ID.
  1. Proof of Occupation
  • Submit the following documents:
    • 3 months of pay slips.
    • 3 months of bank statements showing sufficient funds.
    • Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last year.
  1. Student Documents
  • For students, submit a Bonafide School Certificate or a School/College ID card copy.

Important Notes:

  • SGAC Declaration: All travellers must complete the SGAC declaration within 3 days prior to arrival at https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/
  • Processing Time: The visa processing will take a minimum of 5 working days from the date of submission. Note that the Embassy may issue a 1-month entry visa, effective from the submission date.
  • Visa Type: The visa issued will be an E-Visa only.
  • Additional Documents: The Consulate General may request additional documents or require more time to process the visa. The issuance or rejection of the visa is at the discretion of the consulate.
