Tourist Visa
- All Original passport with minimum 2 blank pages and valid for at least 6 months after return date
- Photocopies of current + all previous passports (all pages) mandatory
- Passports issued more than 10 years ago will not be accepted
- Old passports are compulsory; if lost, submit:
- Police complaint copy, or
- Covering letter explaining reason for non-submission

- One visa application form:
- Filled online (typed) or handwritten in blue ink
- Tick all applicable fields
- Signed using blue ball-point pen
- Applicant’s email ID and contact number must be clearly mentioned
- For minors (below 18 years):
- Form must be signed by both parents or legal guardians
- Self-attested copies of the passports of both parents or legal guardians
- Notarized authorization letter signed by both parents or legal guardians

- Original covering letter from principal applicant on:
- Business letterhead or plain paper
- Must include:
- Self-introduction
- Passport details of family members
- Travel itinerary summary
- Request for visa

- Bonafide certificate from school/college
- Leave sanction letter

Family Visa Applications
- Additional proof required: Original certificates required for verification (OR) Notarized legalized photocopies
- For spouse - Marriage Certificate
- For children - Birth Certificate

Processing Time
- Visa decision normally takes 15 calendar days from the day after application submission
- Processing time may extend up to 45 calendar days if an interview or additional documents are requested
- Apply at least 15 days before travel
- Late applications may be rejected by BLS
- Embassy may ask for an personnel interview from applicant if traveling to Europe first time
Biometrics
- Mandatory personal appearance for biometrics (fingerprints + photo)
- Applicable for applicants through Spain Consulate Mumbai
- Applicants under 12 and applicants whose fingerprints have been taken in the last 59 months are exempt from fingerprint taking.
- Someone else can submit application with authorization letter
Schengen visa
- Schengen visa must be applied from The Embassy / The Consulate of the country where you will be staying for maximum number of days.
- If your stay has equal number of days in each country then you must apply to The Embassy / The Consulate of the country which would serve as the first port of entry.
Other Important Points
- The visiting dates should match in all documents, such as Covering letter , Hotel, Insurance and the Air ticket. The visa will be issued only for travel dates given. Contact details of the Applicant must be filled in the form, along with the telephone number where the applicant can be contacted.
- If passenger not holding Income tax papers for till date 3 years then they have to provide a reason letter.
- Do not staple documents
